S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating and 'A+' underlying rating to Greene County School District R-II (Willard), Mo.'s series 2018 general obligation (GO) school building bonds. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its existing 'AA+' rating on the district's existing GO debt. The outlook is stable. The 'AA+' long-term rating reflects our assessment of the district's eligibility for, and participation in, the Missouri Direct Deposit of State Aid program. The 'A+' rating reflect our view of the district's general creditworthiness, including its: Participation in the diverse Springfield MSA; Strong available reserves, albeit on a cash basis of accounting; and Moderate debt burden with no plans to issue additional debt within the next two years.
