Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA+' rating to Eastport-South Manor Central School District, N.Y.'s series 2014 school district general obligation (GO) serial bonds and affirmed its 'AA+' rating on the district's parity debt. The outlook on all the ratings is stable. The rating reflects our opinion of the district's: Access to strong local economies throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties; Very strong incomes and what we consider extremely strong wealth indicators; Good financial management contributing to maintenance of a very strong general fund balance; and Significant state reimbursement for debt service, leading to what we view as a low-to-moderate debt burden. The district's faith-and-credit pledge secures the GO bonds. The New York State Aid Intercept Program provides additional security.
