Abstract:

OVERVIEW North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority's series 2013-1 is an ABS transaction backed by a pool of loans originated through the U.S. Department of Education's Federal Family Education Loan Program. We affirmed our rating on the class A notes. The affirmation reflects our view of the transaction's stable credit enhancement levels, collateral profile, available liquidity, and payment structure. The affirmation also reflects our view that the transaction has sufficient liquidity to cover interest payments to the notes over the next several months, despite the impact from the COVID-19 pandemic. NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Dec. 21, 2020--S&P Global Ratings today affirmed its 'AA+ (sf)' rating on the class A notes from North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority's series 2013-1.
