Standard&Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'A+' school issuer credit rating (ICR) on Johnson County School District No. R-VI (Warrensburg), Mo.'s general obligation (GO) bonds. We also affirmed our 'AA+' long-term rating on the district's existing GO bonds, reflecting the district's participation in the Missouri Direct Deposit Program. The outlook on the ratings is stable. The school ICR reflects Standard&Poor's view of the district's: Participation in the stable Warrensburg economy, which is anchored by a state university and nearby military base, with some manufacturing and cross-participation in the diverse Kansas City economic base; Good management practices and strong financial position, despite recently planned drawdowns; and Low debt burden.
