...S&P Global Ratings assigned its '##+' long-term rating and 'A+' underlying rating to Johnson County School District R-VI (Warrensburg), Mo.'s series 2020 general obligation (GO) bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our 'A+' underlying rating and '##+' program rating on the district's existing GO debt. The outlook for both the program and underlying ratings is stable. The bonds were approved by voters in June 2020 and are secured by revenue from unlimited ad-valorem property taxes levied upon all taxable property within the district. Officials plan to use series 2020 bond proceeds for various capital improvements to its school buildings. The '##+' long-term program rating reflects our view of the school district's eligibility for, and participation in, the Missouri Direct Deposit of State Aid program.
