Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA+' standard long and 'A+' issuer credit rating (ICR) to Johnson County School District R-VI Warrensburg, Mo.'s 2009C general obligation (GO) qualified school construction bonds. The 'AA+' rating reflects the district's participation in the Missouri Direct Deposit Program. The 'A+' ICR reflects our opinion of the district's: Participation in the stable Warrensburg economy, anchored by a state university and nearby military base, with some manufacturing and cross participation with the diverse Kansas City economic base; Very strong, though declining, unreserved fund balance, on a modified cash basis; and Low overall net debt, including authorized but unissued debt.
