Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'A-' rating to Siskiyou Joint Community College District, Calif.'s series B and C GO bonds. In addition, Standard&Poor's affirmed its 'A-' underlying rating (SPUR) on the district's previously issued debt. The 'A-' rating reflects the districts: Geographically expansive tax base that has grown by 56% over the past six years; Good financial position, with a general fund balance representing 8.6% of expenditures at the end of fiscal 2007; and Low overall pro forma net debt burden of $686 per capita.
