NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Feb. 8, 2021--S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA' long-term rating to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville&Davidson County, Tenn.'s (Metro) series 2021C general obligation (GO) improvement bonds. The outlook is stable. Nashville's full faith and credit pledge and ability to levy ad valorem property taxes without limitation as to rate or amount secures the bonds. The approximately $650 million of proceeds will permanently finance Metro's commercial paper outstanding.
