NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) July 8, 2016--S&P Global Ratings today assigned its 'BBB (sf)' issue-level rating to American Airlines Inc.'s series 2016-2 class B pass-through certificates (with an expected maturity date of June 15, 2024). The final legal maturity will be 18 months after the expected maturity. The certificates are a private placement issued pursuant to Rule 144a without registration rights. This rating is unchanged from the preliminary rating that we assigned on June 26, 2016. We assigned ratings to American's series 2016-2 class AA and class A certificates, which are senior in rank to the class B certificates and secured by the same collateral, on May 13, 2016.
