S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating to Vernon County R-V School District (Nevada), Mo.'s roughly $10 million series 2022 general obligation (GO) bonds. The outlook is stable. Participation in the Missouri Direct Deposit of State Aid program secures the bonds. Officials intend to use series 2022 bond proceeds to construct a new elementary school; repair and replace roofs districtwide with the exception of two buildings; upgrade heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems; complete football stadium improvements; and acquire land for future district expansion.
