Abstract:

Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating to Saratoga Springs City School District, N.Y.'s 2010 school district refunding serial bonds. The rating reflects our assessment of the district's: Participation in the diverse regional employment base of the Albany-Schenectady-Troy metropolitan statistical area (MSA); Strong wealth and income levels coupled with an expanding tax base; Healthy financial operations that have contributed to a strong financial position; and Low debt burden with limited capital and debt needs. The bonds will be secured by the school district's full faith and credit pledge.
