S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AAA' long term rating on Monmouth County, N.J.'s general obligation (GO) bonds, based on the application of its "Methodology For Rating U.S. Governments," published Sept. 9, 2024 on RatingsDirect. We assigned our 'AAA' long-term rating to the Monmouth County Improvement Authority's approximately $79.7 million series 2024A governmental pooled loan revenue bonds, guaranteed by Monmouth County. In addition, we affirmed our 'SP-1+' short-term rating on the county's outstanding 2024 bond anticipation notes (BANs) At the same time, we affirmed our 'AAA' long-term rating on the county's existing guaranteed bonds, issued by the Monmouth County Improvement Authority.
