S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating to Monmouth County , N.J.'s anticipated $138.7 million series 2025 general obligation (GO) bonds. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AAA' long term rating on the county's outstanding GO bonds, and 'AAA' long-term rating on the county's outstanding guaranteed bonds issued by the Monmouth County Improvement Authority . The outlook is stable. The county's full-faith-and-credit pledge, including an agreement to levy unlimited ad valorem taxes on all taxable property within county limits, secures its GO bonds and guaranteed bonds. The New Jersey fund for the Support of Free Public Schools program provides additional security for the county's vocational school bonds.
