Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AAA' rating and stable outlook to Huntsville, Ala.'s series 2015 water revenue warrants and affirmed its 'AAA' rating, with a stable outlook, on the system's existing warrants. The rating reflects our opinion of the system's: Historically strong financial profile, including strong debt service coverage (DSC) and liquidity; Robust local economy with good income and relatively low unemployment; Competitively low water rates, resulting in tremendous rate-setting flexibility; and Strong, proactive management team. The city's senior-lien net water system revenue pledge secures the series 2015 and 2008 warrants. The city's subordinate-lien net revenue pledge secures the series 2013 state revolving fund loan.
