S&P Global Ratings has assigned its 'A' long-term rating to Georgia Municipal Association's (GMA) series 2016 refunding installment sale program certifications of participation (COPs) for the City Court of Atlanta Project issued on behalf of the City of Atlanta. The outlook is stable. The series 2016 proceeds refund outstanding maturities of series 2002 GMA installment sale program COPs (City Court of Atlanta Project) for interest rate savings. The proceeds of the series 2002 COPs were used to finance the acquisition and construction of an approximately 200,000-square-foot municipal court facility, including courtrooms and administrative and support areas on an approximately 2.5-acre parcel of land in the city.
