&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'A' issuer credit rating (ICR) on the Colorado School of Mines Foundation (CSM Foundation). The outlook is stable. The foundation has no long-term debt outstanding. An ICR reflects the obligor's general creditworthiness and is not specific to a given debt issue as it does not consider the security and other credit and legal characteristics of a given debt issue. The CSM Foundation receives and manages contributions for the sole benefit of the Colorado School of Mines (CSM or university), and the foundation invests CSM's endowment. The rating reflects our view of the foundation's strong available resources and successful fundraising, supported by a long-tenured senior management team and a long-term positive working relationship with the university.
