S&P Global Ratings' rating on Greenwood County, S.C.'s series 2017, 2021, and 2022 tax-exempt revenue refunding bonds, issued for Self Regional Healthcare (Self), is 'A+'. The outlook is stable. Gross receipts of the hospital secure the rated bonds. The rating reflects our view of Self's excellent balance sheet characterized by robust cash on hand consistently above 400 days and strong unrestricted reserves relative to light leverage. The rating also incorporates Self's position as the leading referral center in a seven-county service area with a moderate-sized population.
