We are affirming our 'A' long-term issuer credit and senior unsecured debt ratings and 'A-1' short-term rating on the Province of Prince Edward Island. In part, the ratings reflect our assessment of the province's average economy, strong financial management, average budgetary performance, and high-but-improving debt burden. The stable outlook reflects our expectations that, in the next two years, Prince Edward Island's tax-supported debt will decline to about 162% of projected consolidated operating revenues in fiscal 2018 and its after-capital deficits will represent less than 5% of total adjusted revenues, on average.
