S&P Global Ratings assigned its'AA-'rating to Platte County R-III School District , Missouri's $14.69 million series 2026 certificates of participation (COPs). At the same time, we affirmed our'AA'issuer credit rating (ICR) and our'AA-'long-term rating on the district’s COPs outstanding The outlook is stable. The ICR reflects our view of the district’s general creditworthiness. The COPs represent an interest in lease rental payments made by the district, as lessee, to UMB Bank N.A., as lessor and trustee. We rate these obligations one notch lower than the district's ICR to account for the appropriation risk associated with the lease payments.
