S&P Global Ratings assigned its ?A+? long-term rating to the City of North Platte , Neb.?s anticipated $10.8 million series 2025 general obligation various purpose bonds. The outlook is stable. The city's GO various purpose bonds are secured by North Platte's full faith and credit unlimited ad valorem tax GO pledge. The bonds are also secured by a pledge of special assessments. We rate to the strength of the GO pledge on these bonds as we lack the necessary information to assess the credit quality of the special assessment pledge. Proceeds from the series 2025 bonds will redeem previously issued that debt that financed improvements to streets, alleys, and intersections, and pay certain sewer and water improvements throughout the city.
