S&P Global Ratings assigned its ?A+? long-term rating to the city of North Platte , Neb.?s anticipated $13.9 million series 2026 municipal improvement bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our ?A+? long-term and underlying (SPUR) rating on the city?s outstanding general obligation (GO) and sales tax debt. The outlook is stable. SAN FRANCISCO (S&P Global Ratings) April 10, 2026—S&P Global Ratings today took the rating actions listed above. The city is in a region that is exposed to various physical risks, including severe weather-related events such as tornadoes, wildfires, and flooding, that could weaken its economy and finances. While these risks appear indirect, we assess they could affect spending flexibility as well as create a greater need to maintain
