S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'A' long-term rating to Harris County Municipal Utility District (MUD) No. 188 , Texas' proposed $1.75 million series 2025 unlimited-tax bonds. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'A' rating on the district's existing general obligation debt. The outlook is stable. An unlimited ad valorem tax levied on all taxable property within the district secures the bonds. Officials plan to use bond proceeds to finance additional construction costs for the district?s water plant No.2 as well as cover issuance and administrative costs. The rating reflects our view of the district?s mature, and stable tax base, very strong finances, concentrated top 10 taxpayers and somewhat elevated debt metrics. Harris County MUD No. 188 consists
