OVERVIEW Rhode Island Student Loan Authority's bond issuances are backed by a pool of private student loans originated under either the Rhode Island Family Education Loan Program or a private consolidation loan program. We raised our ratings on 82 bonds from seven series issued by Rhode Island Student Loan Authority out of its June 2009 master trust. We raised our ratings on seven bonds to 'AAA (sf)' from seven series to reflect their short term to maturity. We raised our ratings to 'AA (sf)' on 75 bonds from seven series to reflect the transactions' increased credit support, the timely interest and principal payments, and the master trust's parity, among other factors.
