DALLAS (Standard&Poor's) March 23, 2012--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that the long-term rating on Johnson County Unified School District No. 231 (Gardner-Edgerton), Kan.'s general obligation (GO) debt (A+/Negative) is unchanged following the district's release of additional financial information. The district plans to implement budget reductions for the remainder of fiscal 2012 to boost its nonrestrictive cash position by year-end. This information was provided on March 22, 2012, a day after Standard&Poor's had lowered the rating to 'A+' from 'AA-' and assigned a 'A+' rating to the district's 2012-A GO bonds.
