About This Report

Abstract:

This report does not constitute a rating action. ENGLEWOOD (S&P Global Ratings) July 29, 2026--S&P Global Ratings today said its confidence that Ford Motor Co. can achieve our baseline forecast has increased given the company?s ability to manage mix and pricing to offset higher commodity costs. Ford reported strong second-quarter earnings and increased its guidance as improved mix and pricing, along with lower material, warranty, and tariff costs, offset higher commodity costs. Further progress on the company?s $1 billion material and warranty cost savings target should support sustainable margin improvement and increase the likelihood of a stable outlook revision in the coming quarters. While second-quarter revenues declined year over year, results exceeded expectations, driven primarily by favorable mix and pricing
