NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Dec. 13, 2010--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that its ratings on privately held C&S Wholesale Grocers and 75% owned subsidiary C&S Group Enterprises LLC (BB-/Stable/--) are currently not affected by Great Atlantic&Pacific Tea Co.'s (D/--/--) Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing on Dec. 12, 2010. C&S Wholesale continues to be A&P's leading wholesale grocery distributor, and we expect that the company will likely receive critical vendor status post-petition. A&P is C&S Wholesale's second-largest customer, and we believe that because C&S Wholesale was not one of the top 40 creditors, that any prepetition claim would not be significant.
