Abstract:

NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) March 29, 2023--S&P Global Ratings today assigned its 'A' issue-level rating to Chicago-based food processing and commodities trading company Archer Daniels Midland Co.'s (ADM) senior unsecured notes (final amounts and maturities to be determined). The company intends to use the net proceeds from these notes for general corporate purposes, including repayment of commercial paper. We view this transaction as leverage neutral, and the 'A' issuer credit rating on the company is unchanged. The outlook is stable. ADM is a leading global grain processor and trader with core processing activities in corn milling, oilseed crushing, and biofuel production that continues to diversify into more value-added food and feed ingredients. ADM's EBITDA grew 25% year over year
