He's the Vice President of Clinical Development, Ionis. Dr. Newman is a physician, who trained at Duke, Johns Hopkins and the NIH. He was on the faculty at the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Disease in Denver and at the University of Cincinnati before joining the pharmaceutical industry in 1998.
