NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) March 17, 2004--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services raised its rating on Wyckoff Township, N.J.'s outstanding general obligation bonds to 'AA+' from 'AA', reflecting the township's above-average wealth and income levels, steadily increasing tax base combined with high tax collection rates, and consistently strong financial position. The upgrade also reflects the township's very low direct debt burden, rapid debt retirement, and manageable six-year capital improvement program. The outlook is stable based on the expectation of continued tax base growth, strong financial performance, and a conservatively managed capital improvement program and debt burden.
