NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) July 18, 2024--S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating to Wisconsin's approximately $295 million general obligation (GO) refunding bonds, 2024 series 2, and approximately $255 million GO refunding bonds, 2025 series 2 (forward delivery). The outlook is stable. Proceeds from the series 2024 series 2 (fixed rate) bonds will be used to current refund $184.2 million of existing GO bonds and to refund $102.8 million the GO floating rate notes (2022 series A) previously issued by the state to finance capital projects for various general governmental purposes. Proceeds from the 2025 series 2 bonds will be used to current refund (on May 1, 2025) certain maturities of GO bonds previous issued by the state
