Two New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority Series 2010-1 Ratings Raised; 14 Ratings Affirmed

OVERVIEW We raised our ratings on two classes from New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority's series 2010-1. At the same time, we affirmed our ratings on 14 classes from the same transaction. The series 2010-1 bonds are backed by a pool of private student loans made under HESAA's NJCLASS loan program, which includes a refinance loan program. The upgrades reflect the bonds' short-term maturities, and the affirmations reflect our view of the trust's credit support, parity, pool characteristics, and the timely interest and principal payments made under stressed cash flow modeling scenarios, among other factors.
