S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA' long-term rating to the State of Wisconsin's general obligation (GO) refunding bonds of 2017, series 2. S&P Global Ratings also affirmed its 'AA' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the state's existing GO bonds and its 'AA-' ratings on the state's appropriation-backed debt outstanding, as well as its 'A' ratings on bonds backed by the state's moral-obligation pledge and debt issued by the Wisconsin Center District, secured by state appropriations. Finally, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'A-1+' short-term rating on Wisconsin's GO commercial paper (CP) and extended municipal CP programs. The outlook on all long-term ratings is stable.
