S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'A+' long-term rating to Vermilion County Community Consolidated School District No. 118 (Danville), Ill.'s series 2016A general obligation (GO) school bonds and series 2016B taxable GO school bonds. We also affirmed our 'A+' long-term rating on the district's existing GO school bonds. The outlook is stable. The rating is based on our view of the district's: Stable although limited local economy; Very strong reserve levels on a modified accrual basis of accounting; "Good" financial management under our financial management assessment (FMA) methodology; and Moderate overall debt burden as a percentage of market value.
