S&P Global Ratings has assigned its 'A+' long-term rating to the South Davis Metro Fire Service Area (the district), Utah's series 2017 emergency services revenue and refunding bonds. The outlook is stable. The rating reflects our view of the district's following credit strengths: Sizable tax base, spanning the cities of Bountiful, West Bountiful, Centerville, Woods Cross, North Salt Lake, and some unincorporated areas of Davis County; Increasing tax base, reflecting extremely strong market value per capita figures and strong income indicators; and Maintenance of strong available fund balances and stable general fund performance over the past several years.
