Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' rating, and stable outlook, to Sioux City, Iowa's series 2010A, B, C, and D general obligation (GO) bonds. At the same time, Standard&Poor's affirmed its 'AA' long-term rating, and underlying rating (SPUR) on the city's parity GO bonds. The rating outlook is stable. In our opinion, the rating further reflects the city's: Position as a regional economic and employment center; Adequate wealth and income indicators; Very strong financial position; and Low to moderate overall debt burden with rapid principal amortization.
