Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' rating, and stable outlook, to Port Washington-Saukville School District, Wis.' series 2009 taxable general obligation (GO) refunding bonds. The rating reflects, in our opinion, the district's: Participation in the diverse Milwaukee metropolitan area economy, Strong income levels as measured by median household effective buying income, Very strong general fund reserves paired with good financial management practices, and Low net debt as a percent of market value with rapid amortization. The district will use bond proceeds to refund its note anticipation notes outstanding, issued in July 2008. The district's unlimited-tax GO pledge secures debt service payment on the bonds.
