The SPUR (Standard&Poor's Underlying Rating) on New Jersey Health Care Facilities Financing Authority's bonds, issued for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, N.J. (RWJ), reflects RWJ's strong financial position driven largely by business growth. A higher rating is precluded at this time as RWJ (formerly known as Middlesex General Hospital) has substantial future financing plans. Although the hospital has room for some additional debt at this rating level, the financing plans are not complete at this time and cannot be assessed.
