S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'A-1+' short-term rating to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro), Tenn.'s series 2024 general obligation commercial paper (CP) notes, with a maximum authorization of $375 million, and reoffered general obligation extendable commercial paper (ECP) notes (2014 program), with a maximum authorization of $325 million. The short-term CP rating reflects our view of Nashville's general creditworthiness (AA+/Stable), incorporating our view of its self-liquidity and access to capital markets or other means to roll over or take out CP notes or bank notes issued under the revolving credit agreement accompanying the 2024 traditional program notes.
