Standard&Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'AA-' rating on the District of Columbia's general obligation (GO) bonds based on its newly released local GO criteria. At the same time, Standard&Poor's also affirmed its 'A+' rating on the district's existing certificates of participation (COPs). The outlook is stable. The GO rating is based on the district's full faith and credit pledge.
