Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'A+' rating to Cook County School District No. 88 (Bellwood), Ill.'s school bonds series 2010A, 2010B, 2010C, and 2010D. Standard&Poor's also affirmed its 'A+' underlying rating (SPUR) on the district's general obligation debt outstanding. The rating reflects, in Standard&Poor's opinion, the district's: Participation in the deep and diverse Chicago metropolitan area economy; Good income level; and Improved financial operations with strong cash reserves, including working cash. In our view, offsetting these credit strengths is the district's moderately high overall debt burden.
