S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA' rating to the Arizona Board of Regents' (the Regents) and Arizona State University's (ASU) $77.1 million series 2023A (green bond), $89.1 million series 2023B, and $27.7 million taxable series 2023C system revenue bonds. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AA' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the Regents' and ASU's existing system revenue bonds and its 'AA-' long-term rating and SPUR on the university's existing SPEED bonds, and certificates of participation (COPs) and lease-backed debt. We also affirmed our 'AA/A-1+' rating on ASU's series 2008A and 2008B variable-rate demand system revenue refunding bonds, based on our long-term rating on ASU and on the university's provided self-liquidity. The outlook is stable.
