NY -- Standard&Poor's CreditWire 6/12/98 – Standard&Poor's today assigned its `SP-1'-plus rating to West Contra Costa Unified School District, Calif.'s $20 million 1998-1999 TRANs dated June 10, 1998 due June 30, 1999. The bonds are expected to sell June 15, 1998. West Contra Costa Unified School District's TRAN rating reflects the district's general fund pledge and strong coverage of debt service at the June 30, 1999 repayment date. The TRANs are secured by general fund taxes, revenues, and other monies attributable to fiscal 1998-1999.
