Abstract:

LONDON (Standard&Poor's) Jan. 8, 2010--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today removed from CreditWatch negative its credit rating on Barclays Bank PLC' s £3,054,000,000 covered bond issuance. Due to an administrative error we placed the notes on CreditWatch negative on Dec. 16, 2009. Today's rating action follows the discovery of this error.
