Abstract:

NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) July 8, 2009--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services corrected and lowered its long-term rating on Iowa Finance Authority's (Wheaton Franciscan Services. Inc.) variable-rate demand bond series 1998 A and B bonds to A/Dev from AA-/Watch Dev. This action follows Standard&Poor's June 5, 2009, downgrade of National Public Finance Guarantee Corp. to A/Dev from AA-/Watch Dev. At the same time, Standard&Poor's corrected the short-term rating on the bonds to NR. The bank facility from JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A. that supported the bonds' put feature, and on which the short-term portion of our rating on the bonds was based, expired on Feb. 26 2009.
