LONDON -- Standard&Poor's CreditWire 7/30/96 -- Standard&Poor's today has affirmed its single-`A'-plus senior unsecured debt ratings and `A-1' commercial paper ratings of Daimler-Benz AG and guaranteed related entities (see list below). The outlook is revised to negative from stable. The rating affirmation takes into account the ongoing improvement in operating performance of Mercedes-Benz AG, although concerns relate to the sustainability of the improvement within the commercial vehicles business. This reflects the weakening of North American market conditions and uncertainty surrounding the ongoing strength of the European market.
