LONDON -- Standard&Poor's CreditWire 3/6/98 -- Standard&Poor's today affirmed its double-'B'-plus long-term foreign currency ratings on Eskom, Rand Water, Telkom S.A. Ltd.and Transnet Ltd. but revised the outlook to stable from positive. Standard&Poor's also affirmed its triple-'B'-plus long-term local currency ratings on Eskom, Rand Water, and Transnet Ltd. but again revised the outlook to stable from positive. The change follows Standard&Poor's outlook revision on the Republic of South Africa's double-'B'-plus foreign currency and triple-'B'-plus local currency ratings to stable from positive.
