S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA-' long-term rating to Vernon County , Wis.' roughly $5.5 million series 2025A general obligation (GO) promissory notes. The outlook is stable. The notes are secured by the county's unlimited-tax GO pledge and payable from ad valorem taxes levied on all taxable property without limitation as to rate or amount.
