Abstract:

We recently raised our ratings on Türkiye Is Bankasi AS, the parent of Istanbul-based Milli Reasurans T.A.S. (Milli Re), to 'BB+' from 'BB' following a similar rating action on the Republic of Turkey. As a result, our view of the quality of Milli Re's investments and financial profile has improved. We are therefore raising our Turkey national scale rating on Milli Re to 'trAA+' from 'trAA'. On April 5, 2013, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services raised its Turkey national scale rating on Istanbul-based Milli Reasurans T.A.S. (Milli Re) to 'trAA+' from 'trAA'. The upgrade reflects our view that the quality of Milli Re's investments and financial profile has improved. More specifically, the upgrade of Milli Re's parent, Türkiye Is Bankasi
