We are affirming our 'AAA' long-term issuer credit and senior unsecured debt ratings and 'A-1+' short-term rating on the Province of Alberta. We are also affirming our 'AAA' rating on the guaranteed debt outstanding of the Alberta Capital Finance Authority and ATB Financial. In part, the ratings reflect our assessment of a very low net tax-supported debt burden compared with that of similarly rated domestic and international peers. The stable outlook reflects our expectation that the deterioration of Alberta's budgetary performance since fiscal 2008 is cyclical and should improve alongside the expected economic rebound in the next three fiscal years.
