S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating to Plano , Texas? approximately $89.5 million series 2025 general obligation (GO) refunding and improvement bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our 'AAA' rating on the city?s GO debt outstanding. The ratings are based on the application of our criteria, " Methodology For Rating U.S. Governments ," published Sept. 9, 2024. The outlook is stable. The series 2025 bonds and GO debt outstanding are direct obligations of the city, payable from ad valorem taxes levied annually, within the limits prescribed by law, on all taxable property within its boundaries. We do not differentiate between the city's limited-tax debt and its general creditworthiness since the ad valorem tax is not derived from
